Register now- Luna Kids Dance Camp
This summer at Luna, campers have the opportunity to create their own dances, individually, with partners, and as a group! Rather than learn the teacher’s choreography, dancers discover how their own body moves. A full day of camp begins with a morning creative dance class, followed by snack and an art activity. We have lunch at San Pablo park, then continue our dancing with improvisation and choreography in the afternoon.
This week’s theme will dive into the element of space, exploring site-specific dance, stage space, and imaginative space, inside and outside of the studio. What places are meaningful to us? How do we choreograph with a sense of place? This camp will guide students into seeing the spaces and places around them in new and inspiring ways. that inspires the curriculum and choreography, and culminates in an informal family sharing, designed by the dancers themselves.
