Te Whāriki: A Teacher’s Trip to New Zealand – November 19

Join us as Oakland Unified School District and Early Childhood Special Ed Teacher, Kimberly Champion, shares what she learned about Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s bicultural early childhood curriculum, during her recent visit there. She will discuss emergent curriculum and the “ness” of materials with strategies she learned.

There will be time for questions and discussion. Bring your own inquiries!

Register Now for Studio Lab classes

Registration for our Fall Studio Lab classes is now OPEN!

Studio Lab offers dance classes afterschool and on Saturdays for students ages 3-17 years old. Classes include Creative Dance, Dance Improvisation, and Improvisation and Choreography.

Studio Lab  is a laboratory, where inquiry and creativity grow, and teachers and students explore, discover, and reflect together. Dancers deepen their sense of agency and hone their artistic expression through rigorous and joyful creative practice.
