“Dear Dancer” – If Cities Could Dance Chain Letter
From New York to San Francisco, 16 dancers from across the country, representing a range of street dance styles and contemporary dance, move as if they are a single being, with each dancer’s actions flowing naturally into the next. Poet Chinaka Hodge narrates the seamless expression of dancers from all corners of the United States as we shelter-in-place. Inspired by Mitchell Rose‘s Exquisite Corps chain letter, each dancer begins in the last pose of the dancer before, passing movements across time and space.
