After moving nine times in 30 years, Luna finally has a permanent home! With the growth of our community and impact of our programs, we now have a space that accommodates all the facets of what we do. From two new state-of-the-art dance studios, to a library and research center, to an ADA-accessible elevator, our building has the capacity to support all our children and family programming and hold space for teachers and artists to be in collaboration with each other.
Thanks to our Capital Campaign donors, we raised $2.95M to support the building’s purchase and renovation process. These donations were critical in making our vision for the building a reality.
Our August 24, 2024 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was a success! Generations of Luna community members, donors, friends, and families showed up to celebrate the grand opening of our new building. We were honored to be joined by Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguín, Councilmember Terry Taplin, and Beth Roessner from Berkeley Chamber, along with Luna board members from the past and present. Thank you to Berkeley Bowl, The Cheese Board Collective, and Monterey Market for donating tasty snacks for our event.
