Early Childhood Dance & Science: The Great Outdoors – March 8, 2025

$195.00

Children are part of the natural world, and can experience freedom and connection through outdoor creative and risk-taking play. Discover how dance can support children’s curiosity about nature, including life and earth sciences. Explore movement activities inspired by all they engage with and observe outdoors – sticks and rocks, mud and puddles, feathers and blossoms, and more – that will strengthen your students’ agency and artistry. Support their natural impulse for full-bodied, full-speed movement that is sparked by being outside, and play with the potential for grounding and self-regulation that connection to nature offers.

This workshop aligns with the Preschool and TK Learning Foundations and Creative Curriculum. Nature and classroom educators, camp counselors, teaching artists and all who work with young children are encouraged to join. No prerequisite.
